Springer fork assembly. Installing a springer fork on to a cruiser
frame using a headset. Headset installation order from top down - cap nut (22.2mm or 21.1mm), spacers are lock or non lock type and are used to fill unused space, fork crown ring, and bearing race which houses the top headset bearings. Internally, the ball bearing at the base of the springer fork steering tube has the balls facing up, and the top bearings in the top head tube cup under the bearing race are balls facing down. |
