Leg Extender Seat Post Kit
Length of ownership: 1 day-1 week
Pros: Bought my first cruiser on Craigslist recently--loved the flared fenders, the retro design, but hated the ride position: way too cramped and upright! This seat post design fixes everything. Not only am I able to ride in a much more comfortable, efficient pedaling position, but I was also able to raise the seat up higher as well. This made my beach cruiser a real cruiser--it's the perfect fix. As an added bonus, it looks really cool as well. BTW--the staff at BicycleDesigner.com answered my questions in a timely manner, shipped quickly, arrived in good condition with more than adequate packing materials to protect the products within. Recommend them very highly!
Cons: None.
Leg Extender Seat Post Kit
Length of ownership: 1 month-1 year
Pros: I can put my feet on the ground when I come to a stop, and still pedal comfortably with nearly full leg extension. My old aluminum (American) Schwinn ladies' beach cruiser is now the ergonomic equivalent of a $500+ Electra Townie -- and looks max cool, too.
Cons: Make sure your main mounting bolt is REALLY tight, especially if you're over 200 pounds (as I am). But this isn't so much a con as it is sensible advice for setting up any post-clamp bicycle seat.
Leg Extender Seat Post Kit
Length of ownership: 1 week-1 month
Pros: I have an unusual setup-- an upright bike with a Zzipper fairing. I use it as a daily commuter over long stretches of rural roads. The leg extender kit is designed for cruisers, but turned out to also work great as a method of altering the riding position in order to cruise more comfortably behind the fairing.
Cons: I didn't use the giant, heavy cruiser seat that came with the kit.
